BVID Board Meeting

January 22, 2002

Meeting was called to order at 6:07 PM

Quorum was established. In attendance were:

Stephanie Everett BVID President

Diana North BVID Vice President

Barbara Robinson BVID Treasurer

Sherri Roberts BVID Parliamentarian

The minutes from the November 8, 2001 BVID Board Meeting were approved.

Old Business:

Interpreter Hiring Policy: Sherri Roberts will be sure this policy is put on-line.
Web Page upkeep: Joyce Tipton has done an outstanding job keeping our web page current. She is unable to continue as BVID web-master. Sherri will talk to Ginny about taking on this assignment. In the meantime, Sherri will get with Michael Moore and try to learn how to update the calendar page.
Sherri will purchase the following for the BVID video library:

New Business:

Only one proposal was received for a BVID spring workshop. That Proposal was from Diana North and Sherri Roberts. Both Sherri and Diana abstained from the discussion of this proposal. This proposal will be taken to the BVID membership at the general meeting for action.
All Social event ideas and inquiries will be referred to Paige Abshire as she was appointed Social Event Coordinator
The date for the next BVID board meeting was determined to be 2/21/2002 at 1501 Glade. There will be no general meeting that day.
BVID’s Silent Auction donation for the 2002 TSID Conference will be discussed at the general meeting this evening.
BVID board suggests that BVID volunteer for the responsibility of selecting presenters for the TSID 2003 Conference to be held in Dallas.
The board reviewed the Deaf Council Project Proposal. It will be taken to the general meeting for membership input.
