BVID Board Meeting

April 25, 2002

The Meeting was called to order at 6:10 PM.

A quorum was determined. The following were in attendance:

President Stephanie Everett

Vice President Diana North

Secretary Ginny Sweet

Parliamentarian Sherri Roberts

Treasurer Barbara Robinson

The minutes from the Feb. 21, 2002 meeting were read by the secretary and approved as corrected.

Reports:

President- written report

Vice President- written report

Parliamentarian- none

Secretary- no report

Treasurer- We now have $2206.05 in the bank.

Workshop Committee- written report

Old Business:

TSID Conference

BVID volunteered to find presenters for the TSID conference in Dallas, but there has been conflict over the specific duties that accompany this task. We would like to establish written guidelines to submit to TSID before we continue. We are willing to do the following:

1. Put out a call for presenters.

2. Answer inquiries from potential presenters.

3. Accept and review proposals for presentations.

4. Make recommendations to the TSID board regarding presenter selections based on conference master schedule given to us in advance.

5. Forward CEU information, biographies, workshop descriptions, and workshop agendas to the scholarship committee.

6. Inform presenters of their selection.

7. Given a budget, negotiate contracts with selected presenters.

8. Forward signed contracts to treasurer.

9. Forward materials to the notebook/handout committee.

New Business:

Constitution/Bylaw Changes

We would like to consider redefining the term “good standing.” This will be discussed further at the May meeting. Any other proposed changes should be submitted to Sherri Roberts by the May meeting.
