BVID General Meeting

April 25, 2002

The Meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM.

A quorum was determined. The following were in attendance:

Reading of the minutes from the January 22, 2002 meeting was postponed until the next meeting.

Secretary- no report

Treasurer- We now have $2206.05 in the bank.

Workshop Committee- written report (see vice president’s report)

Old Business:

Spring Workshop:

Phyllis Hodges will take care of food preparation for the workshop. Alicia Landine will come early to help set up.

TSID Conference

BVID volunteered to find presenters for the TSID conference in Dallas, but there has been conflict over the specific duties that accompany this task. We would like to establish written guidelines to submit to TSID before we continue.

MOTION 2002-04-01 (Diana North, Sherri Roberts)

Move that the BVID chapter representative bring written conditions regarding proposals to the next TSID board meeting.

The next meeting will be June 14^th at BVCOG at 6:00 for the board meeting and 7:00 for the general meeting.

Nominating Committee

Move that the following members be elected to the nominating committee: Kent Roberts, Phyllis Hodges, and Alicia Landin.

Announcements:

The deaf seniors in this area will be holding a garage sale at CAIS on June 1, 2002. Procedes will not benefit CAIS. Anyone who wishes to donate items to the garage sale can do so on May 30^th.
