Mission: To provide education, information, and mutual support to Sign Language Interpreters working as Independent Contractors.

Vision: We will operate as a Special Interest Group within the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf, striving to become better business people as well as better interpreters through open and honest interchange of information and ideas.

Values: The SIG shall maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity with clients, consumers, and other interpreters, in keeping with the code of ethics that govern our profession.
